Terms of Service

VERSION_2.0 // EFFECTIVE_DATE: OCTOBER_01_2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FixMyError, a web-based technical error diagnosis and troubleshooting service operated by Florin Chetroi in Romania ("FixMyError", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using FixMyError, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the service.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace any mandatory rights or remedies that apply to you under applicable consumer protection law.

1. THE_SERVICE

FixMyError allows users to submit technical error logs, build output, code-related diagnostic information, and similar technical input for automated analysis and troubleshooting assistance.

FixMyError uses artificial intelligence and other technical systems to analyze submitted information and generate troubleshooting guidance. The service is intended to help identify likely causes of technical errors and suggest possible fixes.

FixMyError does not guarantee that every diagnosis, code suggestion, explanation, or other output will be correct, complete, current, or suitable for your particular environment.

2. ACCOUNTS_AND_ACCESS

Some FixMyError features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.

You must provide information that is accurate to the extent reasonably necessary to create and maintain your account.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to an account where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, protect the service or its users, comply with law, or address a material violation of these Terms.

3. USER_INPUT_AND_RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for the information you submit to FixMyError and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or authorization to submit it.

You should not submit passwords, API keys, private keys, authentication tokens, payment credentials, or other highly sensitive secrets to the diagnostic service.

Although FixMyError uses automated sanitization for technical information intended for its public Library, automated sanitization cannot guarantee the removal of every possible personal, confidential, or sensitive identifier. You should therefore review your input before submitting it.

You must not submit content that you are prohibited by law, contract, confidentiality obligations, or other applicable restrictions from sharing with the service.

4. AI_OUTPUT_AND_TECHNICAL_GUIDANCE

FixMyError's output is provided as technical troubleshooting assistance and should be independently reviewed before it is applied to software, infrastructure, production systems, data, or other environments.

You are responsible for testing and validating suggested changes and for maintaining appropriate backups, version control, and other safeguards appropriate to your environment.

FixMyError does not guarantee that following a suggested fix will resolve an error or that a suggested change will be compatible with your software, dependencies, configuration, hardware, infrastructure, or production environment.

5. PUBLIC_LIBRARY_AND_SHARING

Depending on the applicable plan, generated fixes may be published in the public FixMyError Library.

For Free/Basic users, generated fixes may be added to the public Library. Before publication, the technical context used for the public Library is processed through an automated sanitization system intended to remove obvious personal information, credentials, tokens, private identifiers, and similar sensitive information.

The public Library is intended to contain technical troubleshooting information rather than personal or private project information. However, because sanitization is automated, you should not submit information that you would not be comfortable being potentially published in sanitized technical form.

Pro fixes are not automatically listed in the public Library. A Pro fix may nevertheless be accessible to other people if you choose to share its direct link.

6. PRO_SUBSCRIPTIONS_AND_BILLING

  • Subscription: The Pro plan is a recurring monthly subscription unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
  • Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. FixMyError does not store your complete payment card details on its own servers.
  • Price and taxes: The price and any applicable taxes are presented during checkout. Taxes may be calculated and collected by Stripe where applicable.
  • Automatic renewal: Unless canceled, your subscription may automatically renew for another billing period according to the terms shown at checkout.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription through the available Stripe customer billing portal. Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal while allowing access to remain available through the current paid billing period.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights relating to cancellation, withdrawal, conformity, refunds, or other remedies under applicable law.

7. REFUNDS_AND_CONSUMER_RIGHTS

Refunds and other remedies are handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the purchase.

Where applicable law gives you a right to withdraw from a distance contract, obtain a refund, request that a digital service be brought into conformity, obtain a price reduction, terminate a contract, or exercise another consumer remedy, those rights remain unaffected by these Terms.

Where a statutory exception applies to a right of withdrawal for digital services or digital content, the applicable requirements and conditions will determine whether that exception applies.

8. ACCEPTABLE_USE

You may not use FixMyError to:

  • violate applicable law or regulations;
  • interfere with, disrupt, damage, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems;
  • bypass usage limits, subscription restrictions, authentication controls, or other technical safeguards;
  • introduce malware or other malicious code into the service;
  • probe, scan, or test the service for vulnerabilities without authorization;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary source code or non-public logic from the service, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • use automated methods to abuse the service or consume resources in a manner that materially interferes with normal operation; or
  • infringe the rights of FixMyError or any third party.

9. INTELLECTUAL_PROPERTY

FixMyError, including its website, software, interface, branding, design, underlying systems, and original materials, is owned by or licensed to FixMyError and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of FixMyError's intellectual property to you.

You retain rights you already hold in the technical information and other content you submit, subject to the rights and processing necessary to operate the service and the public Library rules described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that your submissions and their use do not infringe third-party intellectual property, confidentiality, privacy, or other rights.

10. THIRD_PARTY_SERVICES

FixMyError relies on third-party services and infrastructure providers to operate parts of the service, which may include authentication, hosting, analytics, payment processing, database infrastructure, and AI processing.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. FixMyError is not responsible for independent third-party services or for changes to their services that are outside FixMyError's reasonable control.

11. AVAILABILITY_AND_SERVICE_CHANGES

We aim to keep FixMyError available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, technical failures, security incidents, third-party outages, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may modify, improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service when reasonably necessary to operate or develop FixMyError. Where required by applicable law, applicable consumer rights and remedies remain unaffected.

12. DISCLAIMER_OF_WARRANTIES

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FixMyError is provided on an "as available" basis and without guarantees that the service or its outputs will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, accurate, or suitable for every particular purpose.

In particular, AI-generated troubleshooting guidance may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating suggested changes before applying them to your systems.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory warranties, guarantees, conformity requirements, or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. LIMITATION_OF_LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FixMyError will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

This may include losses such as loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data, to the extent such exclusion is permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any liability or consumer remedy that mandatory law requires to remain available.

14. ACCOUNT_TERMINATION

You may stop using FixMyError and may delete your account through the available account controls.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, abuse of the service, security concerns, non-payment, or where required by law.

Termination does not remove rights or obligations that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, liability, disputes, and information that must be retained under applicable law.

15. GOVERNING_LAW_AND_DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent you from relying on mandatory consumer protections or bringing a claim before a court or authority that is competent under applicable law.

We encourage you to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve any issue directly.

16. CHANGES_TO_THESE_TERMS

We may update these Terms when reasonably necessary, for example to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements, or business practices.

The current version will be made available on this page together with its effective date. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it.
